TIMERIFT!!!!

I .... AM REALLY SORRY YOU HAD TO JUST WITNESS THIS.

I want to note that i am not insane, I have friends and a social life, I'm doing well emotionally, physically, and i maintain a good GPA. I touch grass everyday, I have pets I take care of everyday, and I am a perfectly normal person. I am doing well, I do not need therapy. but HOLY SHIT IS THAT SLENDERMAN AND HIS GAY EMO TRAUMA INFLICTER BOYFRIEND ???????????????????????????? HOLYT FUCKIGN SHOIT I FICUKIGN LVOE THIS SHOIP[ SO MUCH I i never actually wanted to make shrines based off of ocs because the whole idea seemed silly.
why make a shrine for something that the people on the internet dont even know of besides a select few??
but timerift is different. timerift (and radiostatic) are ships that, no matter if they have a public following of 1 or 10000000, will always, and forever, be one of my favorite ships of all time. AND ITS SUCH A WEIRD DYNAMIC AS WELL. would it even work in reality? probably not! but will that get me to stop shipping it? probably not as well!
these two are one of my favorite pairings ever. i will sit you down and explain to you in full length paragraphs as to why timerift is good. timerift is great and wonderful and perfect and beautiful and theyre both GAY for eachother.

PART 1: THE CHARACTERS

you might be entering this site hopelessly confused and or trying to stop your eyes from catching on fire and spreading quickly around the house. and that's understandable! these characters haven't even been publically shown once besides from right now, so you might be a little bit perplexed as to what this site is even about. let me give a rundown :)

TIMERIFT is the slash ship between CORNELIUS CLOCK (he/him) and TALL MAN (they/it). perfectly normal dudes! theyre their own characters in a weird.. kinda concerning sort of way. but atleast theyre functioning!

CORNELIUS CLOCK is.. a grandfather clock above adult age. he's a man gifted (for some unknown reason) with the power of time travel and time control, making him watch and keep timelines in track and in place. because of his job as a time lord, he appoints apprentices to learn about the wonders of time travel as well via.. giving them clocks and then forcing them to... relive their own traumatic experiences! which isnt the best way to hire people for a job, but at least it doesnt get them to run away... i guess?
i mean, besides not being very caring (or just being very oblivious) to peoples emotions, hes a nice guy at heart. without the whole traumatic experiences part, he's kind of pessimisstic-realistic and not at all uptight or strict about his job. just a little... stubborn. is all.

TALL MAN is a tall man! they're probably over 10ft, which is big enough in human terms! it speaks with a shout and does not at all take its job seriously as being the leader of the phobias (which are a group of people brought together to represent peoples phobias!). i guess that would make them strong as well, but the man just kinda.. lazes around sometimes. im not entirely sure!
im sure it's got a more serious side to him, but usually it puts on a calm and very excitable front around company. i mean, they even owns a pet dog representing of agoraphobia! its name is hydra, by the way :)

PART 2: THE DYNAMIC

now that you understand the fundamentals behind these two, let's talk about their dynamic!
it's.. something to say the least. with very few canon interactions being documented, its hard to get a good grasp around this ship! but heres what i understand in canon terms so far:

tall man and cornelius clock aren't the friendliest of friends. of course theyre accquainted, but they aren't good pals that go out to drink every friday. cornelius actually sort of dislikes tall man for being so blunt with his wording and actions- it even took one of his apprentices for itself at one point! so c. man isn't very happy about that. on tall mans side, i guess its something more endearing and affectionate. maybe the tall man doesnt feel threatened or intimated by the grandfather clock, more of just a 'one-sided chummy relationship'. of course, cornelius probably doesn't mind being close with tall man.

in fanon terms: CORNELIUS CLOCK IS A VERY OBLIVIOUS MAN TO FEELINGS AND TALL MAN SMOTHERS THE CLOCK IN AFFECTION AND PDA AND ROMANTIC GIFTS AND GESTURES AND ACTS OF SERVICE AND IT JUST DOES EVERYTHING TO GET CORNELIUS TO EVEN RECOGNIZE THE FEELINGS!!!! c. clock is very shy about the whole romance thing and i like to think tall man just shoots their shot and says their demand or confession so upfront no matter how weird it is.

despite their.. differences, and quarrels sometimes, at the very end of the day they are still very much in love no matter how good one is at hiding it or not! maybe they had a rocky start at the beginning of their relationship, but overtime they never really got out of their honeymoon phase (NOT tall man. they will always smother cornelius in affection) and r just very VERY big lovers !! maybe work life gets in their way of their relationship, but it doesnt matter since cornelius is literally all about handling time, i think hes got the patience.
big, scary man whos insanely lovey dovey x big, semi-scary man who is very oblivious and heavily flustered over anything romantic .. theyre cute. :( i am afraid to admit they got a good dynamic even if it might not work out in specifics. but its functioning, theyre good friends and not kissing in alleyways because of heated arguments, and i'd say they've got good relationship rules ..... maybe . this is all things that are coming out of my head rn !!!

all i can say that, timerift is a perfectly crafted ship. these two certainly dont get enough attention, which is completely ok, but from what you see already from their interactions, isn't it kind of hard to not call them a bit of fruits..? ;w;

ive gotten to about everything ive needed to show about this ship! the characters are fleshed out wonderfully, the dynamic is cute, their interactions are plausible enough to not be considered some weird rarepair that probably conceived itself from a google wheel decide! its got everything a good ship needs :)
honestly, i dont know what possessed me to make this site look so.. uh. Like this. but i think its part of the charm! the ships kinda chaotic in its own way, so i guess it captures that side as well!! :)
