ships arent meant to be canon, although they could always be canon! people ship characters when they feel like the characters would go well together, even if it means to defy the characters personality! there are things called headcanons, you know! :)
in this case, sanuso have a pretty underrated relationship in canon! the two dont get along super well and they dont usually interact on the norm, but they have a very well understanding of each other and i think their canon interactions can lead them to a relationship thats functioning! usopp and sanji are pirates, they can do what they want, yknow?
